Prof. Wilhelm Haarmann is an attorney, auditor, tax consultant and the initiator and name partner of the new firm. Before becoming a partner at the law offices of Haarmann, Hemmelrath & Partner, which he co-founded in 1987, he was a partner at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Munich. He advises principally on enterprise transactions (M&A, private equity, and venture capital), tax and corporate law as well as arbitration proceedings. Prof. Haarmann is a member of various supervisory boards (of SAP AG, among others) and the author of a number of publications. An honorary professor for tax law at the University of Bamberg, he is also chairman of the Institute of Auditors’ tax committee, a member of the executive board of the International Fiscal Association’s German section, and a member of the World Economic Forum. He also serves on the executive board of the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.
