Thomas Flügel is a partner in the Frankfurt Office of Haarmann Rechtsanwälte. He was admitted to the Bar in Frankfurt in 2004.

Thomas is a member of the Corporate Real Estate Team and advises German and International clients in all aspects of Corporate Real Estate and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Before joining Haarmann in 2008, Thomas was a Lawyer at SJ Berwin LLP’s Frankfurt Office. Together with Sebastian Gronstedt he established and developed SJ Berwin’s German Real Estate Department. In 2007 Thomas worked as a foreign Lawyer in SJ Berwin’s London Office. Before joining SJ Berwin in 2003, Thomas was employed with the Banking and Finance Group of Linklaters in Frankfurt.

Thomas has advised on asset and share deal transactions in a variety of industry sectors, in particular office, retail, high street retail, logistics, pensions homes, resi-dential, hotels and industrial estates.

Recent high profile transactions include advising on the acquisition and sale of Tele-kom-Center Munich a landmark building of 10 Office Towers in Munich, acquisition of "Königsbaupassagen Stuttgart" a prime retail and shopping center in the city center of Stuttgart, acquisition of a high end retail property on Goethestrasse Frankfurt and the acquisition of the Hamburg Radisson SAS Hotel at Hamburg’s Congress Center. Thomas also advises on the legal aspects of project development and project management of real estate development projects.

Thomas is a German lawyer educated at the University of Gießen in Germany and the University of Aberdeen and holds an LL.M. from King's College University of Ab-erdeen, United Kingdom. Thomas has been a scholar of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation and is now fellow of Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. He is a member of the Chamber of Attorneys in Frankfurt.
