From the A 5 motorway: Follow the signs to Stadtmitte/Messe, then Alte Oper / Stadtmitte. Turn left at the intersection of Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage and Mainzer Landstraße (Platz der Republik). Park in the Alte Oper multi-storey car park (turn after the Alten Oper).
From the A 3 motorway: At Frankfurter Kreuz head north on the BAB A 5 motorway until you reach Westkreuz Frankfurt; then follow the signs to Alte Oper / Stadtmitte. Turn left at the intersection of Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage and Mainzer Landstraße (Platz der Republik). Park in the Alte Oper multi-storey car park (turn after the Alten Oper).
From the A 3 exit Frankfurt/Main-Süd: Head downtown on the B 44 following the Innenstadt signs, down Mörfelder Landstraße / B 43 Kennedyallee, Gartenstraße, and over Schweizer Straße. After crossing the Untermainbrücke bridge, continue straight on into Neue Mainzer Straße and turn left at the corner of Neue Mainzer Straße and Junghofstraße into the Alte Oper multi-storey car park.
From the airport
About 30 minutes by taxi; the fare is around 20 EUR.
To go by train from the airport’s regional railway station, take the S8 line towards Hanau Hauptbahnhof and exit at Hauptwache. Transfer to the U6 line towards Heerstr./ Praunheim and exit the Alte Oper stop. Travel time is about 17 minutes; the fare is currently 4.90.
By train (Hauptbahnhof)
Take the S8 train line towards Hanau via Niederrad and Hauptbahnhof. Get off at Taunusanlage, heading for the Opernplatz exit. About 20 minutes travel time, with the fare currently being 3.15 EUR.
Take any S1 to S8 train line towards Hauptwache and Konstabler Wache. Get off at Taunusanlage heading for the Opernplatz exit.
